Sometimes I need it to be..
..about me.
Bom Caffe – Eastwood.
Here is to living up to my “take more photos” goal for 2012!
Last year when a few of us finished University / started working we wondered how we could keep in touch. Then came the day that I moved away from Cherrybrook so we had to start thinking a bit more seriously (well at least I did!).
One week Hans and Chumpy told me about this new (at the time) cafe which opened in Eastwood. So after going we decided to try keep it weekly if nothing else is on.
We also tried to keep a “photo book”, this reminded me of the How I Met Your Mother episode where Marshall would make a video montage of every event they had haha:
*Yes, it’s flipped – due to copyright I think
Anyway, just thought I’d introduce the place a bit since we spent a few of our Saturday nights there last year! Staff probably got to know us a bit well too.
The Train Station.
Think I’ll quickly nut this out during my lunch break before I forget.
Two days ago I was having a really hard time sleeping because I think the temperature suddenly rose rapidly during the night. I woke up a few times and found it really hard to fall back asleep.
Apparently your most lucid / vivid dreams are those you get when you wake up and go back to sleep again (i.e. the ones that cause you to oversleep).
Well I had one of those (yes it felt very real too) about a mysterious train station (might be because of the poor train services the last couple of days — ahem, CityRail).
So let’s see how much I can remember (yes I dream in colour, sound and apparently ‘feel’ — at least I think so LOL).

Wrapping up the Year.
So 2011 is coming to an end and although I would’ve loved to slam out a corkboard review again I realised I just didn’t have that many photos to do so (more on this later!).
It’s been a very fast year, I’ll probably start saying this every year but it’s just how it felt – is it a sign of getting older too?
But do you know what the greatest thing about the new year is?
To me it’s about leaving the year behind and starting a new year. We often use the saying at certain points in our lives, “starting a new chapter” but to me starting a new year is like starting a new book. Think about it, for those who still use paper organisers you will be starting a new one – I definitely will be!
So how did my 2011 fair up then? Well..
NBA 2011-2012 Early Predictions.
First of all, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas
, I always find Christmas a great time to catch up with family! How did you guys spend it?
I spent my boxing day (Christmas in America) up at 4am watching all the NBA matches for opening day (woohoo NBA is BACK!!). Did you know what League Pass International is having a free preview till the 8th of January? Check it out! http://ilp.nba.com/.
Loved what I saw too, maybe I’m just excited that it’s all back now anyway.
So having said that, going to throw down some very, very early (perhaps pre-mature) predictions for the seasion.
AdiPure Trainers – First Impressions
How was everyone’s Monday?! Mine started off OK then got a bit hectic, but that’s OK, it’s gone now haha.
At the same time I’m feeling happy for Sen who got 3rd at NASL again, but sad at the same time (damn you Day[9]!!
).
Alright, so, a few packages arrived today which was some super positives
, within these packages I’ve been most looking forward to trying on the AdiPure Trainers.
Morning Routine.
Did everyone have a good week? Been quite nice to see some houses and Churches lay out their decorative lighting already!
I will still remember in Year 11 Multimedia when I was shown this:
Not only was it mind blowing, it was friggin’ distracting too! Mesmerising.
There’s always something nice about seeing the lights go up – I’m too lazy to invest the effort though ^^”. Do you / does your family put up lights? Anything crazy?
Anyway I digress, I’ve been thinking lately that I’ve been neglecting this blog for awhile now. It’s true, the number of posts in 2011 vs 2010 is dramatically less. But then again.. here I was, sitting here, spinning in my chair and listening to old Chinese pop (梁山伯与茱丽叶 — good song btw
), and thinking about what to write about.
Pretty futile, so I ended Googling a topic generator — yes they exist! ref. http://www.blogtap.net/blogtopicgenerator/
NBA 2011-2012.
So for those who don’t know yet (shame on you!), the owners and players have come to a tentative agreement (and ended the 149 day lockout) — once the dotted line is signed we’ll get a 66-game regular season starting on Christmas Day (Boxing Day for us).
The NBA site looks even more boring than it was during lockout.. Never mind, it’s back to its former glory

Get that weak stuff outta here.
I’m not sure about you, but I for one remain hopeful.
Having said that, there have also been some pretty interesting trade talks! There are a few things I love about the NBA, these are probably:
- The Chicago Bulls
- The Denver Nuggets (more on this later)
- Trades (and trade rumours / talks)
Last Fantasy.
In dedication of IU’s (이지은) new album (which is sounding pretty good!) I’ve made a header change
.
And damn, it’s December already! What a year it’s been. How has the year been for you?
Ps. Leenock is so taking this GSL.
Breaking Online-Real World Barriers.
Did anyone else catch this week’s episode of How I Met Your Mother? It touched on an interesting topic in quite a humorous way – the fact that almost everything about our (private) lives are out there for the world to see.
I suppose if you want to be more specific it also touches on the fact that privacy is almost non-existent too.
But anyway, what I found interesting the way they showed this:
![How I Met Your Mother 706 - Mystery vs. History.avi_snapshot_00.06_[2011.10.19_22.19.32]](http://sukari89.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/how-i-met-your-mother-706-mystery-vs-history-avi_snapshot_00-06_2011-10-19_22-19-32.jpg?w=630)
Kind of looks like a sandwich board.
Labor Day ’11
I think for NSW this’ll be one of the last long weekends until Christmas.. (just confirmed on Google!).
Since I’ve been out of University I’m starting to lose the meaning of “productivity”. Like people would ask me on Mondays or something – “.. did you have a productive weekend?”, i.e. “did you get much study/homework/assignment done?”. But now it’s like that’s no longer there!
Productive in the sense that I got through a lot of games/anime/dramas/reading?
Unfortunately even if it is measured in that way I’d still probably fail ¬_¬.
So what did everyone get up to this long weekend (and planning to of course)?
For myself ->
- Gears of War 3
- Battlefield 3 Beta
- Catch up on sleep (so much so that I had a dream I woke up today [sunday] @ 5pm — worst nightmare)
- Basketball training
- Cleaning the house ¬_¬
