Today was a day that started late because princess wing needed his super beauty sleep.
Despite going to sleep at 2am, he got up at 10:30am.. despite me going to sleep at 3:30am, I got up at 8:30am, zz..
Hopefully we won’t be late tomorrow for the registration.
So today I took kevin to the area around Taipei 101.
First stop was the Taipei Main Station to stop by NOVA to get our hot hands on Call of Duty 5:
Then a few more stations in the metro lead us to Taipei City Hall:
The area around Taipei 101 is really a shopping district – 新光三越 [Shin Kong Mitsukoshi] it had like 10+ buildings or something from A1~11 or something.. not too sure, but too many to go through! Alot of brands and designer stores..
Inside building A4:
NOTE: I do not have many pictures of INSIDE the department stores because they usually do not allow cameras – so I kind of ninja’d this pictured.
We had lunch at Ajisan Noodles – there’s a few open around the world, one including Sydney.
Oh and, after that.. just for Angela:
And some free stamps o.o..
Saw some markets further up..
Because this year is the year of the cow~
Then wing goes and gets some red packet from this guy.. turned out to be some coupons or something:
For some reason this ARCADE game, Dance Online is really popular in Taiwan.. it doesnt even use the feet.. uses the hands and it’s like MMO.. despite being an arcade only game.
As we got closer..
The markets outside Taipei 101:
And finally at the entrance:
So just to give a very brief idea.. Taipei 101 is split kind of like, the first 4 levels are department stores, level 2 and 3 are dedicated to like brands and designer products, Gucci, LV, Prada.. etc etc
Level 5 is the level you pay to go all the way up to the top floor.
The rest is really just offices I believe.
Anyway, there were MANY more.. I was a bit scared to take a picture of LV because of all the guards lol..
Here’s a view down from level 5~
Do you know who this is?
P.s. uCrown is like massage products etc..
LOL, wing spent like 200NT (~$10AUD) to get this Strawberry Cat plushie.. he was almost there when..
However he persisted..
There’s more photos 🙂
And 2 videos which I’m uploading to Youtube right now, they will be posted soon!
As for the photos: http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b140/Sukari/TaiwanTrip09/Day6/
Until tomorrow 🙂 when class starts…!!!
P.S. We did NOT go up the Taipei 101 yet, because there’s metal detectors and stuff and wing decided to bring his BBgun AND pocket knife, geeeeeeeeeeeeez.
