Taiwan Trip ‘09 -=Day 8=-

Yesterday night was spent by having a dinner down the street – 入肉飯 [Mince Roast Pork Rice]+ 貢丸湯 [Meatball Soup] which was very cheap; 50NT each, which is roughly ~$2.30 AUD. Trust me, tastes better than it sounds :).

The night was then spent by watching Bedtime Stories, for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  which… *sounds good to mmmeeeee  hahahaha..

And some Call of Duty 5~

Today was the first day of our chinese lessons.

As per usual I had to wake Wing up again.. reminds me of Albert, geeeeeeeez..

Alright so.. after I had my awesome FROOT LOOPS breakfast.. we head off towards 復興崗 (FuXinGang) metro station:

The short walk to the station..

So that was just outside our apartment place really.. then at the station:

So we got off at 古亭 (GuTing) and headed towards 國語日報 (Mandarin Daily News)~

Actually no I’m wrong, we headed towards a place for WING to get BREAKFAST because he got up SLOW haha. Well after looking around, he ended up getting a steamed bun and drink from 7-11, geez lol.. (*kevin’s edit: not my fault.. my clock laged and was half hr behind..!!!)

Which emphasises the Taiwan jingle for 7-11.. “有7-11怎好~” (It’s so convinient that there’s a 7-11~)

<Interjection> Eh.. the doorbell just rang, went to check it out, and some lady was like “對不起.. T_T” because she pressed the wrong doorbell, lol..

Alright, so back to MY story.. and so in the classroom..

The Classroom

Despite the size, it was really just one on one anyway..

After the first hour break..

Anyway, after class we went to 西門 (XiMen) because Wing wanted to check out some clothes and I wanted to check that place out myself since it’s like a popular place to hang out for youngings..

Of loveeeeeeeee~

Okay, then we decided to get some food after Wing bought some stuff from Baleno and Hang Ten (where Vivian Hsu has done alot of photoshoots for o.o.. all over the store), we stopped by this japanese curry place, and inside was full of like highschool age-ish girls, lol eye candy for Wing 😛

After a bit more walking.. Wing and I kept finding Skill Testers..

Wing was so tempted.. did he give in?

Wing was so tempted.. did he give in?

Well did he..?

Yup.. Domo-kun!!

Yup.. Domo-kun!!

Alright, so.. we found this place called Center Moe Moe:

Center Moe Moe..!

Center Moe Moe..!

ref. MOE:

also written as moé.

Japanese slang term (ironically, first employed by otaku) used to refer to the fetish for or sexual attraction to idealized people, usually a fictional perfect young girl

Alright..

A quick look at the store before I found out no pix allowed..

A quick look at the store before I found out no pix allowed..School Days!

And upstairs was a Maid Cafe – I thought only Japan had those..

Just for reference, a maid cafe is where the waitresses dress up in French Maid Uniforms.. doubt any pictures would be allowed, upstairs also sold cosplay uniforms.. scary.. 2100NT for a male school uniform lolol..

Oooooooo we found Easy Way, lol.

Easy Way~

Easy Way~

The prices are like.. 25NT for small and 45NT for large (that’s like less than ~$2AUD) what a deal, sure beats $4.50AUD!

Wing couldnt help himself when it came to mini lighters..

Wing couldn't help himself when it came to mini lighters..

So he spent about ~200NT today on skill testers alone, and got.. NOTHING..

Thought this was cool - an ice cream store was underneath the poster too haha.
