Blessed by awesome weather and sun, Angela and I went to the Royal Botanic Gardens from the Circular Quay entrance.
It was a day spent walking around, soaking up the “winter” warmth and taking photos.. so without further adue..
Started with the Herb Gardens, probably inspired by Chump’s pasta sauce of basil and oregano etc etc 😛
And moving on.. I’m not even going to bother labelling the plants etc, because I simply don’t know them LOL.
Next big location.. featuring sexy statues and a winter rose garden lolol.
Turn around, and behind us..
What’s really amazing is that they can “maintain such a big garden in the CBD” (Siu A., 2009)
In order to feed our (well mine at least) curiousities, we went to see what the statues were of..
Oh, now I remember 😀
Then some hawt statues.. just for you Chump ;]
We bumped into Angela’s friend:
Off to Ferns..
Q: What is the name for the leaf of a Fern?
Then.. as we closed in on the “Succulent Garden”
It started to get windy..
We kept walking, and we got to around the centre of the gardens, and if you looked up..
Turns out we weren’t the only ones enjoying the sun and breeze.
The best part was watching Angela chase them to try take a photo ;].
So as our trek started to come to an end.. we went to the Government House section.
From the Opera House to catch awesome wind =P
And so we had to stop here..
We each just got an ice drink; I got the Ice Guylian Mocha, and Angela got some Guylian Chocolate Shake (Chocolate with Dark Chocolate, lol enough!?).
Was an awesome day though! Kind of tiring, but GOOD!
EDIT: I was playing with Adobe Lightroom 2 .. just some photos for kicks:
